The legend of th Bride of Malgrà Castel

A long time ago, when Malgrà Castle was a real fortress, a young bride lived within its walls.

She was beautiful, kind, and cheerful, and everyone cared for her.

But her husband was very jealous.

He did not like his wife talking to other people or anyone looking at her too closely.

Among the people who surrounded her there was also a young lord of the castle, famous for trying to charm every woman.

The girl was not in love with him, but she became curious about his attention.

One day the husband saw them together near a small wood, beside a large oak tree.

He was overcome with anger and jealousy and decided to take revenge.

The next day the young woman left the castle to return to that place.

But someone attacked her from behind and killed her.

From that moment on, the legend says, her ghost began to appear on nights of the full moon.

It is said that her husband saw her beside his bed, silent and terrifying, staring fixedly at him.

Fear and remorse became so great that the man could no longer live in peace.

In the end, he took his own life.

From that time on, the ghost of the young bride was no longer seen inside the castle, but in the surrounding area, on nights lit by the full moon.

Some say they have seen her moving very quickly through the darkness, only to vanish at dawn.
